ERROL SPENCE JR VS TERENCE CRAWFORD - FIGHT STAT TRENDS

This Saturday sees two of the biggest names in boxing go head to head in one if not THEE the most highly anticipated fight in the past decade.

Errol Spence will be looking to solidify his claims as one of the best welterweights of all time when he takes on former undisputed super-lightweight champion Terence Crawford in Las Vegas.

In a fight that is very much being touted as 50/50, we’ve taken a look at some of the trends from each fighter along with a big stat about the venue which could help you swing one way or the other when making your final prediction.

Errol Spence Jr:

  • Record at exact weight to the lb - 4-0 (3 KOs) when he has weighed in bang on the 147lbs welterweight limit

  • This is just the second time Spence has ever fought in July. He won his one and only fight in the month by first round KO back in 2013 against Eddie Cordova 

  • Spence’s record when fighting in Las Vegas is near perfect with seven wins from seven fights including six by stoppage 7-0

  • This will be the fourth fight in a row where Spence has fought after having over year in-between this fight and his last 

Terence Crawford:

  • Crawford has a perfect 8-0 record when fighting at welterweight with all eight coming by way of stoppage

  • This will be the first time the former undisputed super-lightweight champion has ever fought at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

  • Just like Spence, Crawford is a southpaw himself and his record against other southpaws is faultless with five stoppage victories coming from five fights

  • Crawford is currently 4-0 when fighting in the month of July with two previous stoppage victories

T-Mobile Arena:

  • Just three of the last 10 main events at the T-Mobile Arena have ended in a stoppage
