Heavyweight world title boxing returns this weekend as Oleksandr Usyk fights in Poland for the first time since his first world title win back in 2016 as he takes on the hard-hitting Daniel Dubois for the WBO, WBA, IBF & Ring Magazine world heavyweight titles.

After beating Anthony Joshua for the second time in Saudi Arabia last year, it was expected that Usyk would take on Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world however, boxing politics got in the way of that so he now defends his unified titles against his WBA mandatory Dubois.

Oleksandr Usyk:

• 4-0 (1 KO) at heavyweight. Only KO came on debut

• Won his first world title in Poland (the only time he’s fought in the country)

• 18-0 (12 KOs) against orthodox fighters

• 2-0 (1 KO) when fighting in August

• This is only the second time he’s had over a year out in-between fights (beat Chisora on points after just over a year out since stopping Chazz Witherspoon)

• First time he’s fought someone who’s had the same amount of pro fights as him

• He has never won by stoppage when weighing over 218lbs (both Joshua fights)

Daniel Dubois:

• 1-0 (1 KO) against southpaws (Lerena in his last fight but Dubois was dropped three times in the first round)

• 2-0 (2 KOs) when fighting in August

• 14-0 (14 KOs) against opponents smaller than him

• 13-1 (13 KOs) when fighting for a title or titles

• 2-0 (2 KOs) when boxing outside of the UK

• This is the lightest he has weighed in for a fight since 2017

• He has stopped all three previous opponents in two rounds or less when weighing in less than 234lbs

• Refereed the Usyk AJ rematch in Saudi last year

• From the last 20 world title fights he’s refereed, 11 have gone the 12 round distance with nine stoppages

Judges - Stanley Christodolau (South Africa), Pawel Kardyni (Poland), and Leszek Jankowiak (Poland):
